What's The Difference Between Collision And Comprehensive Automotive Insurance?

Liability insurance, which covers the cost to repair damages caused by you, is usually your state’s minimum automotive insurance requirement; however, if you are still making payments on your vehicle, your financer may require you to purchase additional automotive insurance coverage until you own the vehicle.

There are many different kinds of additional automotive insurance, and collision automotive insurance and comprehensive automotive insurance are probably the most popular kinds of additional automotive insurance. But what is the difference between collision automotive insurance and comprehensive automotive insurance? Don’t they both cover everything?

No. Collision automotive insurance and comprehensive automotive insurance are actually quite different.

Collision automotive insurance is automotive insurance that will cover the cost to repair damages to your vehicle that result in an accident caused by you. If repairs to your vehicle cost more than the value of your vehicle, the automotive insurance company may deem your vehicle a total loss, in which case you will be compensated for the current and actual cash value of the vehicle.

Collision automotive insurance is usually the most expensive of the additional automotive insurance options, which is understandable since the automotive insurance company is paying for damages caused by their own policy holder.

On the other hand, comprehensive automotive insurance is insurance that will cover the cost to repair damages to your vehicle that result in an accident for which you are not at fault. These damages may be caused by incidents involving natural disasters, theft and vandalism, fire, and animals (think of deer running out in the road during your innocent drive home). Comprehensive automotive insurance will compensate you for the total cost of your vehicle before the accident.

Although many people opt to purchase only liability insurance since it’s usually the only insurance required, consider paying extra for these additional automotive insurances. You never know when you, or an animal, will be the one to cause damage to your vehicle.

Tire Recalls For Tread Separation Still Plague Automotive Sector

Firestone had to undertake a massive tire recall back in 2000 involving tires made for SUVs. Out of some 14 million sold, the approximately 6.5 million still on the road were recalled.

The story, highlighted by numerous rollover deaths, remained in the news for months, and had a severe impact on the manufacturer. Among other things, angry consumers often were told that replacement tires were not in stock. The recall did not go smoothly. Congressional investigations followed, and new tire safety legislation was enacted.

Reminiscent of those days are two recent tire recalls involving the same defect that prompted the 2000 recall, namely tread separation and high failure rates, risking dangerous blowouts. The danger is exacerbated in hot summer months.

Now, as if there are not enough woes with recalls of Chinese products, you can to the list of tire recalls some 450,000 tires imported from China. This recall is especially troublesome as will become evident from the story.

The current problem arises out of instances of tread separation of truck tires sold to U.S. distributors. The tires are light truck radials imported from the Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co. located in Hangzhou, China. The problem is compounded by the fact that the recall does not involve a manufacturer that has a large U.S presence like Firestone.

In fact, the importer is a small New Jersey company with only six employees which lacks the funds to implement a recall. It doesn't even have a warehouse. Apparently the tires are drop shipped from the manufacturer directly to U.S. distributors. The Chinese company is not being cooperative according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). There allegedly have been two rollover deaths attributable to the tires.

The NHTSA has received some criticism based on indications that it was informed of the problem as early as 2005 and took no action.

Another recall just occurred (in 2007) involving the Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Again, the hazard is tread separation dangers with about 92,000 light truck tires. Cooper denies that there is any defect, but is cooperating in doing a recall. Cooper had previously imported tires from the Hangzhou manufacturer, but ceased in 2005. The tires recalled in 2007 were made in the U.S. Cooper is the second largest U.S. tire manufacturer.

While it's comforting to know the these defects are being identified, it seems that from a consumer perspective, the massive recall in 2000, coupled with subsequent federal legislation, ought to have eliminated tread separation problems. Evidently this is not the case. Obviously, consumers should not be complacent about tire safety concerns which continue to plague the tire industry in the form of tread separation dangers.

The Automotive Industry And 2008 - What Will The Future Hold?

Rising fuel prices, unstable financial markets and taxation changes with the apparent aim of getting us to use our cars less often (or at least pay more to use them) have been just some of the issues that have affected the automotive industry in the past 12 months. This article looks at what 2008 may hold for the automotive industry and road users in general.

The US economy and the resulting weakness of the dollar looks like it may well contribute to the price of crude oil continuing to rise as investors have been holding the commodity instead of dollars. This means that as the cost of a barrel of crude oil comes close to the $100 figure then so fuel prices have also continued to rise.

So do higher fuel costs mean we are likely to buy or use cars, vans and Lorries less in 2008? Well seemingly not based on a latest poll of motorists. Despite fuel prices increasing at alarming rates a whopping 79 percent of motorists questioned said they had not changed their petrol and fuel buying habits and had no plans to do so. In fact the motorists questioned said petrol prices would have to increase at even more alarming rates to stop them from filling up.

Environmental issues would it seem not be as important as governments throughout the world as over 1 in 3 motorists confirmed they had no plans to replace their vehicles for more environmentally friendly cars before 2010.

And so if motorists are seemingly unaffected by rising fuel costs and are prepared to continue driving despite increased road tax and the impact on the environment surely positive times are ahead for the industry in 2008?

Well before car manufacturers and dealers start doing cartwheels, caution would certainly be advised as whilst General Motors can seen promising performance in emerging markets they have seen big losses in both American and European markets.

And with the world economy in such an uncertain state as 2007 draws to a close 2008 could well see new car sales fall with used car sales increasing. Car sales and indeed sales of all types are also likely to increase via the internet in 2008 so car dealers (new and used) without an internet presence should really be looking at establishing themselves in this emerging marketplace.

And what of the actual motorist, what does 2008 have in store for us? Well how about further increases in vehicle tax, more toll roads, increased congestion charges and still a seeming lack of a viable alternative to road use through reliable, clean and safe public transport.

The good news for some motorists on one front is that whilst the government is seemingly do all they can to penalise the motorist, insurance premiums including car insurance, van insurance and motor trade insurance are pretty stable. In fact with such competition in the insurance industry the cost of insurance like combined motor trade insurance could even fall and savings could be made.

And motor traders who are looking to make savings on their motor trade insurance premiums in 2008 using a specialist insurance broker could well be the route to take to make sure they get the protection they need at a price that is right.

Smart And Safe Automotive Electronics

Article Body:

We live in an age of information and technology that has made everything around us smarter. Electronic and digital components have made life easier in our homes, offices, and automobiles.

Some of life's bells and whistles, like nose hair trimmers, are no more than budget-grabbing gizmos. However there are many intelligent tools that can bring convenience and safety to our daily tasks.

In the vast world of "smart" technology, the automotive electronics market is king. Indispensable features such as anti-lock braking systems and electronic stability control are perfect examples of smart and safe automotive electronics.

Recent developments by industry experts have created a huge increase in the number of electronic devices installed at automotive plants. Just to give you an idea of how quickly cars have evolved electronically, the Apollo 11 space craft traveled to the moon and back using a mere 150 kilobytes of onboard memory. It's remarkable to think that the typical CD player uses a whopping 500 kilobytes just to keep our favorite songs from skipping. Listening to uninterrupted music is a mere iota of how electronics have impacted a car's performance in order to benefit drivers.

Telematics is the term used for the technology that involves automobile communication systems. The term was originally used to describe the blending of telecommunications and informatics or information technology. This industry has been gaining more and more attention from car manufacturers over the past years. In the mid-1990s, industry insiders predicted that telematics would become "the" go-to technology; increasing overall sales and more importantly, transforming the automotive industry into a major player in mobile technology. In reality, these forecasts panned out to be less than what was predicted. From an initial industry projection of over $40 billion dollars, the figure has been whittled down to half as more conservative measures were considered.

Nevertheless, that is by no means an indication that the development of this telematics technology has been or will be abandoned. In fact, on average automobile manufacturers spend $2000 on electronic systems for every vehicle that comes off the line -- in incredible increase from the $110-per-car budget of the early 1970s. This huge increase in spending is reflected in everything from engine performance to entertainment systems, security features to safety devices. Every component of the vehicle works together to provide automobiles that perform better, are more comfortable, and ultimately safer to drive.

Some of the most common smart and safe automotive electronics are as follows:

Controller Area Network

More than one computer runs your car. There is actually a network of computers called the Controller Area Network (CAN). Like a LAN (Local Area Network) that's commonly used in home and business computers, the CAN links computers together. In your vehicle, the CAN basically links the many separate computer systems together and allows them communicate with each other. These interconnected systems involve everything from critical systems like engine management, cruise control and anti-lock brakes and cruise control, to less-demanding applications like automatic window and seat controls.

Fuel Efficiency

Skyrocketing fuel prices have forced automotive manufacturers to realize the need for fuel-efficient vehicles, and to meet that demand. Smart automotive electronics are used to create the more efficient burning of fuel, such as the electronic fuel injection system (EFI). The technology used in hybrid vehicles takes this one step further, with electronic devices that allow the driver to automatically switch between gas and electric engines.

Safety Devices

There are generally two categories of devices designed to protect the safety of the driver and passengers: active and passive safety devices.

* Active safety devices: These are systems that constantly work to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers. Examples of active safety devices are dynamic steering response (DSR), traction control (TCS), and acceleration slip regulation (ASR). While the average driver may not notice these systems at work, they are constantly sensing road and driving conditions and adjusting the car's performance accordingly to create a safer ride. Electronic Stability Control has been shown by researchers to have a large safety benefit in reducing single vehicle skids.

* Passive safety devices: While these features may be more visible and seem simpler, they are also controlled by smart and safe automotive electronics. Thanks to developments in electronics and technology, airbag deployment has seen a tremendous amount of improvement over the years. Early airbags would deploy too early or too late, offering little or no benefit to the driver and passengers. Now, more advanced systems have created devices in your car that are actually programmed to the conditions that can lead to a high collision impact. Airbag and seating adjustment systems are deployed to minimize impact and decrease the degree of injury to the people inside the vehicle.

Think of the advancements over just a decade, and you'll agree that the car of today certainly is a far cry from its predecessors. Modern automobiles offer more than simply a means of getting from point A to point B. Smart and safe automotive electronics make "getting there" as comfortable and as secure as possible.

Leased vehicles and car insurance

People have different opinions when it comes to leasing of vehicles and to purchase a vehicle, but here's the basic gist: buy a vehicle differs from leasing a vehicle that buys a vehicle requires you to pay for the whole vehicle, that the leasing of vehicles requires that you pay for the amount of the vehicle "use" during a certain period of time. Just after the interval until the person is leasing the vehicle may decide to buy the vehicle, or move.

There is no difference, however, in the case of a supply of motor insurance for vehicles purchased and leased. If your rental vehicle and finance through the dealer or a Bank, you are still required to purchase your car insurance for hired vehicles. Just because you're only paying for the portion of the vehicle you can use for a specific period of time does not mean you're not responsible for repairing the damages to the rented vehicle, or your compensation can lead to vehicles leased another vehicle or another person.

For example, if your leased vehicle is involved in an accident is your fault and another party, you are responsible for paying to repair not only compensation for leased vehicles, but your compensation for the other part of the vehicle, as well. At the same time, if you hired vehicles involved in an accident, but none of the other parties involved, you are responsible for repairs to leased vehicles if your accident was your fault.

Also, your leased vehicle may be involved in an accident that was not your fault with a party which does not have car insurance. From car insurance to protect your vehicles leased yourself from drivers who don't have car insurance.

The purpose of the car insurance is universal. Regardless of whether you buy or lease your vehicle, and regardless of your reasons for buying or leasing, you still need to buy car insurance.

Economical and affordable technology for green cars

Although hybrid cars the wrath, and there are all kinds of alternative energy sources, hybrids on the horizon is prohibitive, typically between $ 3000 to $ 7000 more than one version of this model of gas costs. However, instead of changing sources of fuel, some car companies use a new type of transmission will improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and actually faster vehicles without adding the price sticker.

These companies use a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and instead of having set the transmission (or speeds), it changes continuously transmission and engine performance, so that both operate at the most efficient level in any driving scenario.

Because these basic elements of the force are in their on-board peak performance at all times, fuel economy is improved by 6-8% and carbon dioxide have fallen by 10%.

Although these figures may not sound impressive, gas saving road traffic increase dramatically in most vehicles mpg 4 through 6, which adds up quickly enough at $ 3/gallon.

The minimum speed of the possibilities for reducing emissions is also important. As Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan Motor Company, he said, the goal of selling one million CVT-equipped vehicles by the end of 2007 will have "the same effect in terms of reducing CO2 emissions as selling 200,000 hybrid and electrical vehicles.

Since there is no offset between FIXED GEARS, there is no "shift shock" or jerking sensation, which makes them extremely smooth to drive. Also, one does well in hilly terrain, because there is no ' hunting gear» or bogging down in a hill, followed by a loud and violent downshift, who also contributes to the superior acceleration.

You may wonder why this is not in any car if you are so great. Well, every year, most vehicles in the US market, adding an as an option, although that has happened quietly, like many people leery of new technologies, especially in cars.

The CVT is actually very old, although new American cars. The concept developed by Leonardo DaVinci and was first patented in late for industrial applications. The CVT is used in Asian and European vehicles from the 1950s, but until recently one could handle the power that demand for American drivers from their cars. However, an apparent widespread use of snowmobiles and formula 500 races where they have a reputation for prolonging service life of the engine and is much easier to create than a manual or automatic transmission step.

So when can test drive is equipped with a CVT vehicle? Also, you can go to Ford Sales, Dodge dealerships, Audi or Mini-Cooper, to mention a few, although a Nissan dealership may be the best place to take. In order to hit the target the one million sales CVT in 2007, having installed a sedan in almost every composition, as well as the best selling Altima, Maxima and economical vice versa (as a side note, Nissan has also been Side curtain airbags standard these models, improving safety and reducing insurance costs).

Although you may not have the budget for a hybrid vehicle or cannot wait for fuel this miracle to hit the market, you can make the easy on the environment as well as checkbook, taking control of a few cars with a CVT.

Ditch the cell phone and car insurance lower rates-you'll save money

In today's world, you can see just about anywhere and see at least one person talking on a mobile phone? Unfortunately, the road is no exception. More and more drivers taking to the streets with mobile phones to their ears-as a result of these drivers are most at risk for car accidents. Of course, we all know the result of increased car accidents – motor insurance increased.

Despite the statistics, conveying the relationship between drivers using mobile phones and the rate of car accidents, many drivers continue to talk while driving, and many of these drivers will join with another driver that uses a mobile phone driving it. When you are in a car accident, regardless of the cause, usually increase your cars rating. If you are at fault and is determined using a mobile phone at the time of the accident? Suppose your just car insurance company is not going to be happy.

If you're one of the drivers who likes to gossip using your mobile phone while driving, stop. Nothing is so important that you need to risk your life and the lives of others, to say your friend, or your significant other, your sister or brother. Even if you're a parent and, while on your way home from work, remember to tell your spouse to pick up children from school – Shoot.

If you are a parent with teens who are driving, or almost ready to drive to instill responsible habit of not using a mobile phone while driving. It is even less experienced drivers of the largest, and don't need the distraction.

Remember, practice safe driving habit of not using a mobile phone driving will not only will help you lower or your car insurance low rates, but will also help to keep yourself and others, not seriously injured and even killed.

Consumer perception: The rise of the automobile market research

Knowing your target market can be a key to success in the modern enterprise. Niche marketing, especially with the availability of more targeted advertising that uses TV commercials and online ads increases in popularity because of its high-table results.

The question with car companies extinguishing commercials and ads targeting specific consumer groups, such as women, young people, parents with young children, and even successful etc, where

to the information? The answer: market research firms. The business of recording of information concerning those parts of the population of consumers has become a business and same – and a large one.

For example, let's begin to look back 2005 when Harris Interactive – the 15th largest company in the world, marking survey – conducted a study to find out what people thought of car brands not only the most technologically savvy, but also made felt that signals be driven by socialites. Six signs that both lists: Volvo, Jaguar, BMW, Lexus, Mitsubishi and Isuzu.

While the results are surprising for the first four on the list, Mitsubishi and Isuzu never actively tried to the same position in the market either. Currently, Isuzu offers four models USA

consumers – the high-performance SUV "Ascending" – and three pickup trucks: i-290 Extended forward, i-370 crew cab and i-370 Extended forward. Would not necessarily assume that when the majority of your line is traditionally marketed pickups – Middle America for resilient and towing capabilities – which will be perceived as a company that is known for its progressive technology and attractive to socialites. But, in all sincerity, that should surprise either.

Latest upgrades, such as the Isuzu i-370 crew cab comfort package proves that Isuzu drivers appreciate as much as any other luxury.

Includes driver seats high-back 8-way power (and 6-way power seats for the front passenger) with lumbar support and an adjustable head. Window controls are automatic driver one-touch and the steering wheel is leather wrapped. In parallel with the CFC-free air conditioning refrigerant and an AM/FM stereo with 6-disc in dash CD changer, which offers a 6-speaker audio system with State-of-the-art.

The i-370 camp also reign when it comes to the desired security features. The Pantheon boasts a system of automatic suppression passenger front airbag, power locks, remote keyless entry and a content theft-deterrent system alarm system. The Interior is available in fabric or leather.

With ten external paint options to choose from such as deep Crimson metallic and Pacific Blue, looks like the pickup should sport a much higher price tag. It is really impressive and show vehicle.

Driving the i-370 is bound to prove that this is not your grandfather's pickup. All these handles power as beautiful as many luxury cars handling thanks to an assisted hydraulic systems-and-nut, triple door seals to block noise and electronic control of Isuzu attraction.

So with all that, it is really strange that Isuzu ranked come with legacies such as luxury BMW and Lexus. In an effort to design the best possible product for the purchaser, must eventually opened the door in these markets is not designed specifically for. But of course, just to show you that comfort, performance and style appeal to everyone.

A look at automotive franchise opportunities

If you are interested in getting a car franchise opportunities, then you will want to read this article. Follow the information in this article and make sound business decisions.

There are many different franchise opportunities-cars-auto parts stores, oil changing services, specialized automotive repair, and even insurance companies such as windshields or brakes. How do you know which one you should invest in?

Firstly, there are several things that you need to consider. Is higher than your passion to profit your passion for cars? You can analyze how important is money compared to enjoying your business operation. Also, if you are very passionate about the franchise, i.e. you can work with a long-term strategy, rather than a short-term profit model. Things to consider--more automotive franchise opportunities include a busy atmosphere, many interactions with other people, and specialized knowledge.

Secondly, the range of initial investment for different franchise opportunities are all cars Board of Directors. How much money you are willing to invest large effects on naturally has what kind of franchise opportunities that you can take. For example, if you purchase a franchise as a Distributor, you can get GPS in a franchise agreement, for $ 10,000.

While the franchise fee for a distributor of GPS may seem low, you should look at the overall picture. Invest in a franchise low cost help you achieve your financial goals or we will be forced to buy more units, possibly even return to the corporate world? If you do not have the ability to buy a franchise that will allow you to enjoy life outside of work for you, then you should wait until you have the cash to do this. Prefer to see a franchisee wait an extra 5 years and to open a full service automotive repair shop that the licensee gains more than 100 k rather then this time out of business by buying a low cost franchise that promised in the dreams.

Finally, if you're going to get into any automobile franchise, you must be able to analyze the franchise agreement before accepting it. The best to do here is to get a franchise lawyer to make sure your rights are protected and the agreement are reasonable. The agreement, you will learn what you need to pay franchise, what products are allowed to sell, where you can find your store, sometimes even down to the hours required to open and operate.

In conclusion, selecting the right franchise opportunity cars is what you want from the company where your expertise is in, and how much money you have to invest and what kinds of agreements can strike. A little research goes a long way--do the needful to enjoy a good franchise investment.

Unreliability issues are sometimes outweighed the advantages of the region include the fact seems very large units, TVR and looks, exceptional and has led to consumers, but emotional, selecting options more reliable and slightly less romantic in decision-making by the sports car.

Two major advantages of choosing to buy a TVR is performance and the depreciation rate low. Some of TVR measured makes 0 miles per hour at 60 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds. This statistic is one of the most impressive performance car in the field, and is a major selling point. The fact that it is relatively rare TVR cars means that you do not dampen the height of some of the opponents that also makes them desirable.

TVR has a great reputation for stylish cars and having a strong following among enthusiasts of sports cars. Although by reliability issues, there is no substitute for the love and passion that created by seeing, hearing, and driving one of these cars UK.

Auto-Moto training-It-Yourselfers

Automotive training are used as the most common part of our society. Shop class was a commonly offered elective high schools nationally, ensuring that more boys knew their way around a car engine Bay. Furthermore, cars was more on mechanical principles and not electronic systems. As a result, when a car blew up, the owner was much more likely to know how to fix it yourself, or have at least one friend or a family member who could fix them.

The situation has changed dramatically over the years. Today's cars are much more complex and the owners are much less likely to have had any training in the automotive industry. As a result, dealerships and garages for car repair, a higher percentage than ever, and mechanical rates have increased in accordance with the increased need of their services.

Those who like the situation they have another option. With a little training car, most people run more than routine maintenance on their cars, thus reducing the costs associated with the maintenance of the car and will allow them the satisfaction of a good job he has done.

An oil change is an example of routine maintenance often cost much more than you need to spend to motorists. An oil change is a fairly simple procedure in most cars, which require only enough cars for the individual training to know the location of the oil filter and Drain plug. A basic car care class will teach you how to identify major components under the hood and can perform simple maintenance tasks, as well as the transmission of valuable tips to start-it-yourselfers car owners. For example, a good introductory category you should warn your students be careful not screwing screw or Screw in bent, known as crossing threads.

A basic tune up is another routine maintenance task that makes-it-yourselfers should be able to handle with a small motor training. A basic tune up usually consists of changing the air filter, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor CAP and rotor and positive crankcase valve (PCV). Depending on the car and mileage recommendations concerning the elements, a basic tune up may also include replacing fuel filter and/or oxygen sensor. Rubber parts, such as drive belts and hoses, radiators can also be checked and replaced by one very far. On most cars, these parts are easily accessible and require only a basic understanding of motor functions.

A-it-yourselfer who had basic education cars can also replace your brakes. Changing the brake pads on a car is usually a dirty but simple task, requiring only a basic understanding of braking components in a car. In addition, there are numerous routine maintenance and repair positions which intermediate level amateur engineer cars usually can handle their own, such as the replacement of a battery, alternator, starter, timing belt and many other elements.

Of course, an important advantage of automotive training is that delegations and garages can benefit by recommending your service may not really needs to be done. A basic concept of auto mechanics will allow you to discuss any problems with your mechanic intelligently, to understand what he or she talk and will recognize when the recommendations or is excessive or unnecessary grossly.

Obviously, knowing the basics of how to operate a car can be extremely beneficial, saving you money, with more ways than one. Offer car training classes usually start at your local auto tech school or community college. If you intend to venture a few repairs on your own, or if you just want to be able to organise your own mechanic, taking a class car care ensures that you won't become a victim of your own ignorance.

Auto-Moto tools for your home garage

You can save hundreds of dollars in garage fees each year to conduct minor maintenance and maintaining jobs for your car yourself. Armed with an option widely available tools car, a garage for your car, and enough time and patience to get a job done correctly, almost anyone can perform routine tasks that needed to keep your car on the road and smooth operation.

One of the most satisfying aspects of conducting maintenance work on your vehicle – besides savings on Exchange expensive garage – is that you are able to get an understanding of the functioning of the car, and you can understand more about the vehicle, the easier it is to put things right in the event of damage.

Any home garage requires a good choice of car tools to perform tasks in a car. Some vehicle manufacturers have some machining and non-standard sizes used throughout their manufacture, and you will need to get car specialty tools are designed for the purposes of working on this car from a car shop. No home is complete without a workshop trolley Jack and axles so you can get under the car and actions, such as oil changes and inspections of exhaust gases.

For most small jobs, such as changing the oil or replace filters, change your spark plugs, brake pads and vehicle General tools such as a screwdriver and a wrench that is required, and these are widely available in most hardware stores. Is a good idea to keep your tools separately from other automotive tools that you may have, because if you start a job, and then discover that the tool you want to use, can cause major headaches.

Twenty years ago, cars were simpler to maintain and understand than they are today. Computerized engine management systems and adjustable fuel injectors is now commonplace, especially car diagnostic tools necessary to make adjustments in the timing of the engine and fuel air mixture, whereas in the past, these jobs might become very simple.

The areas of the car that almost anyone can handle regular maintenance of the internal and external panels. Simple scratches to the body, it is easy to fix, using a soft mallet for the beating and abrasive paper, spray paint and filler for paintwork repairs.

If used well, inside your car are likely to start to look tired and dated and needs a little tender loving care. Fortunately, there are many tools available for cars wallpaper to help tidy up inside the car and restore sparkling best. You can repair small tears and burns on the seats of the darning or applying a patch repair over the affected area. Trim the car can be restored to life with a good buffing using a polisher, when using specialized tools that is able to repair the carpets or even replace them.

Of course there is much more to owning and maintaining a car by simply modifying the strongest nuts and split seams, sewing up and you may find that you want to add non-stock parts such as a more efficient air filter or new exhaust to improve performance, and once you understand the basics of automotive maintenance, upgrades and setting will become more affordable, saving you even more money on a long-term basis.

Do small jobs yourself can save a lot of money for bills in the garage, and having the right tools for cars to get the jobs done is an excellent idea which will help you save time and effort in the long run. However, one of the most important things for every engineer to know when they will pass over a task to an expert, it is rather than potentially more damage than good, to get a qualified mechanic to perform tasks in a car.

Automotive scan tools and modern car

Thanks to the increasing complexity of modern cars in recent years, the most professional auto shops and garages now requires a selection of automotive scanning tools with which to carry out diagnostic work day by day in order to identify any problems with the engine or engine management system, in order to discover what action is needed in order to effect a repair with minimal error and maximum performance.

There are several different tools available for conducting diagnostic and scans about different kinds of car and prepare for repair as effectively as possible. Know in depth what issues cause a car engine to behave in a particular way, is the key feature to correct the error in the timely and efficient.

Perhaps the best known manufacturer of automotive scan tools are OTC, making a series of tools designed for the highest quality and best value. A wide range is available to enable mechanics to be able to tackle any task to find and scan tools car range of OTC is recognized as one of the top choices for the professional, and be affordable enough for household use under certain conditions.

Different jobs require different tools and some are more complex than others. Typically, any work to repair a modern car begins to connect the scanner to the computer engine management and downloading a log from the current date. This includes the time from consumption of fuel and the last service. It will give a complete overview of how the engine, mechanical and where there may be errors that occur. The scan will show the mechanical examination of the engine, or there are problems with fuel supply, electronic air filters, operating temperature, and will also provide plenty of insight as to whether any problems related to an issue in the same machine, or indeed within the designated management system.

A complete Diagnostic of the computer system of a car's engine management will usually offer an almost immediate list of performance details for a vehicle and a good scan tool car will shave hours off of an otherwise lengthy task, such as repair mechanic will be able to say what happens almost immediately and what needs to be done to repair the damage.

Of course, the technology works well only in the hands of those who understand, and be able to sift through the information provided through a scan and interpret correctly. However, the last car of OTC scan tools are designed to be almost fool proof and be able to draw on the experience and the vision of hundreds of different developers and personal records of engineer in order to provide a more accurate overview of the data and even presents possible solutions to many of the most common issues that you may encounter a mechanic.

While some manufacturers have their own range of tools aimed primarily traders, a commercial engineer can deal with many different models and manufacturers in their day to day role, and that is why it is often an idea to buy OTC scan tools, such as cars are compatible with a number of different vehicles from various makers international, and therefore offers greater flexibility without compromising quality or to pay repeatedly for scanners for every single car that is on the market.

While commercial scanning tools level cars are expensive to install and require regular system updates that carry the most recent settings for each new vehicle that has been released, pay for themselves almost immediately thanks to the time you are able to store and to the fact that without them, even the most experienced mechanic will struggle to discover the inner workings of the latest car engines, which have been designed in order to be effective, and powerful, but increasingly are too complex for anyone but experts to examine the execution of any work therein.

Salvage Auto-Moto and environmental safety

Environmental awareness has risen in the world, along with the need for better regulation that will allow the automobile made a secure environment salvage profession. In law enforcement, you should beware of automakers of their products from cradle to grave. Manufacturers are the topics with great international pressure and urging that all dismantled car pieces, shipwrecks and carcasses must no longer kymatanapalseis in waste metal yards, but reused or recycled.

Only metal salvage yards, accumulate in which brought the car in the spot light salvage? Only partially, because there is still the risk of chemical pollution and contamination caused by all of the vehicle's fluids that contaminate soil, should there be any leakage. The owners of a company engaged in dismantling cars must follow certain rules of general basic security environment where fragmentation cars into pieces.

The best way to minimize secondary during the salvage car is evacuating liquids prior to disassembly and deposit these liquids into secure tanks or containers. Liquids must be removed immediately from all components of the vehicle. If this is not possible, check for leaks, and if you find any, isolate and reduce the risk of infection.

Liquid deriving from the dismantling salvage car must be kept in secure containers or tanks. These must be labeled and checked on a regular basis, in order to avoid conversions or leaks. If you deposited outside the salvage yard, they must be equipped with dual protection from the outside environment.

A great advantage of the salvage car is that it makes it possible to reduce the price per item in vehicle production in large companies can invest in recycling or reconditioning them for reuse. Some automakers also are talking about increasing the number of recycling points, where a salvage car can be the starting point for alternative building materials.

The query has a very lively debate is: "whose costs?" who pays for salvage cars for dismantling, reuse, recycling? The answer to this may be the answer to a number of environmental issues arising in salvage cars in junkyards careless.

Managing yard salvage car will drastically reduce the quantity of scrap that fills the Earth. There are thousands of independent salvage yards car owners who need an effective recycling system, see the deck aside for their property, as not all may be sold or reused without reconditioning.

Auto-Moto AC machines

As every engineer knows, can offer a complete service to customers, we can offer repair and care for all aspects of a program car maintenance is key to retaining customers. Air conditioning is more or less standard in all models these days, and while in the past, AC maintenance was a highly skilled and specialized market, is now an indispensable part of the firm and constant for each key laboratory of success.

In order to ensure that refrigerant recovered properly from a car air-conditioning system during maintenance, a laboratory must use an automotive AC machine. These devices prevent the release through drainage of CFC gases. EPA guidelines require that when a car to be serviced, freon, or used as the CFC12 refrigerant should be collected and recycled, so they are not released into the environment where this may destroy the ozone layer.

The refrigerant used in air-conditioning systems of cars based on CFCs, which have been linked to causing damage to the ozone layer, and therefore the control of these substances is especially alarming in the environmental protection agency. Whenever a car air-conditioning system undergoes maintenance, proper care must be taken to protect the environment from the release of CFCS, and this is preferable to using a car AC machines.

Reuse of freon gas, instead of being able to be channelled into the atmosphere, level of environmental protection. However, when the refrigerant is collected from a car air-conditioning that can be contaminated with water, oil and any other liquids used in cars. Using car AC machines, it is possible to edit the coolant and remove any of the other liquids, allowing to be reused, either on the same system as it has dried out, or alternatively, in another car altogether.

There are a whole series of different refrigerant recovery machines on the market to fit all types of laboratory equipment, from small business through to large commercial garage dealing with many different types of cars, and must be able to offer a full service to clients.

Choosing the right car AC machines, for your needs can be a painful, and too many people just choose the cheapest model available, rather than to make a well-founded decision about the best product for their needs. EPA requirements aside, the most important factor when choosing the correct car AC machine for your business, is the ability of the machinery to address the range of vehicles that you are currently in. You must select a machine that can connect easily with all the different types of car your workshop deals with, and have enough capacity to recover and treat the refrigerant left in the system to remove any impurities.

Basic car AC machines, such as Pro Set Portable Oiless recovery Recycle unit is sufficiently flexible to reprocess the refrigerant from a fairly wide range of sources, remove any contaminants oils and other fluids and let the freon perfect for reuse.

There are other machines in a similar price bracket that is reliable enough for everyday use and yet compact enough not to require a huge amount of space in your workshop. Automotive AC machines, such as the engine coolant recovery Inficon Vortex are ideal for occasional use and is very solid.

If the offer AC repairs and maintenance is the key to your business, and then having the right tools for the job is essential. Download this from the outset, when choosing a machine AC coolant often, choosing a recovery model from the range of cool Tech. these tools are robust and distinguished specialist is at the Centre of any serious AC store, and thanks to the efficiency and great value for money, will pay for themselves over and over again.

Aging drivers and car insurance

If you are a driver of ageing, this does not mean you are a driver facing a lack of car insurance. Conversely, if you have a driver of aging, you could very well have discounts on car insurance.

Depending on the car insurance company through which they are insured, you may be eligible for various discounts. For example, many insurance companies that specialize in more than one type of insurance will offer discounts to policyholders who buy more than one insurance policy from them. Many people choose to buy both their political motor insurance and liability insurance with the same insurance company, which leads to a premium discount.

Some insurance companies also offer discounts to drivers who have good driving records of ageing and for various reasons. Some older drivers, usually 50 years of age and older, who have been driving for several years, viewed as less risky than new drivers – especially if you have good driving records. Aging drivers are considered to be more responsible. We Owe A Debt Of Gratitude To Early Luxury Automotive Products

You may well have noticed gorgeous, massive cars in classic movies. What happened to these car makers? Were they innovators or just producers of boats or other monstrosities of little innovative value? Sort of like big tank S.U.V. trucks in these days of $ 3 a gallon gasoline. Indeed you may have spotted such cars as the Italian made Isotta Fraschine in classic movies such as the movie “Sunset Boulevard” which starred Gloria Swanson. These cars were not only the highest end luxury models of their days but they introduced early on many advanced features into cars as well as moving ahead and reinforcing standards of reliability and durability of motor vehicles. The thin edge of the wedge even then. Back in 1929 when the Tippo 8A primo motor car was delivered to its first waiting owners , the automotive name and models if Isoto Fraschini were held in the same breath , prestige and level as those of Rolls-Royce and Hispano-Suiza. The story starts in Milan, Italy thirty years earlier when Cesare Isotta and Vincenzio Fraschino joined forces and went into the “newfangled” car business.

At that time Italy was a poor country, they soon realized that with their limited car market, and luxury car market the need, indeed the necessity to export their products. The enterprising partners first shipped a car to the United Sates in 1902 and established the Isotta Import Company in New York just five years later. In 1908, Isotta won Sicily’s super tough Targea Florio race and notched up more than several important auto races in America. Two years later, the Italians launched the mighty KM model, which sported 10.6 liter, four cylinder, and sixteen valve engine. It would storm along at 90 mph at a time when few aircraft could achieve that in flight.

After World War I, Isotta Fraschini decided to concentrate on the lucrative and prestigious luxury end of the automotive market. The 5.9 liter Tipo 8 arrived in 1909 – powered by the world’s first series production straight eight engine, and was later joined, then replaced by the Tipo 8A. Customers purchased a chassis and ordered whatever body tickled their fancy from a coachbuilder. The well known high end coachbuilder of the time Sala and Castanga accounted for most of them. Others built to the likes of Fleetwood and Barker.

One of the lighter and more powerful Super Spinto versions of the *A finished sixth in the first Mille Miglia , driven by none other than Count Maggi , one of the 1000 –mile road race founders and originators. He was accompanied by Bindo Maserati. Bindo and his brother Alfieri were then working for Isota Fraschini as testers. Most of the parts for the first Masaerati cars were made at Isotta’s factory on Via Monterosa in Milan.

Launched in April 1931, the Tipo 8B is generally considered as Isotto Fraschini’s finest automobile product. It offered more performance than its predecessor. About 950 of these fine motor vehicles were manufactured and sold. The Tipo 8B Automobile product line encountered strong opposition from the likes of Rolls-Royce, Hispano and Bugatti. By the mid nineteen thirties the Isotta Frascnini car production system and enterprise was out of the automobile business. It made a short comeback after the time period approximately of the post Second World War II period when the Tipo 8C Monterosa appeared to a fanfare of postwar trumpets. The Post World War II Tipo 8C Monterosa was a most interesting concept car of its time period – a very big car with a V-8 engine its tail. Rather unbelievably, or perhaps

We owe a debit of gratitude to these early luxury automobile innovators and producers in that what we take today for automotive vehicle features , engineering as well as reliability started early on with the expectations of purchasers of these luxury automobile products.

Using Automotive Touch-Up Paint

Here's news you may want to brush up on: Using touch-up paint on your car can be an inexpensive way to protect its value. Some scratches can remove all the paint down to the metal and the area can begin to rust, causing permanent damage.

There are several choices for applying touch-up paint. Spray cans can be used for large areas and with patience and practice you can achieve excellent results. For smaller chips and scratches, you can brush the paint or use a paint pen. Often, a paint pen will be easier to apply to very small chips, as you can apply the paint more precisely.

Women find using touch-up paint is easy because they have had so much practice applying nail polish. In fact, according to paintscratch.com, some women have even painted their nails with automotive touch-up paint to match their vehicles.

The easiest place to find touch- up paint is on the Web. First you have to know your color code. There are sites where the paint colors are broken down by year, make and model, so finding your color code is easy. With the correct paint and good instructions, applying touch-up paint should be no more difficult than coloring your nails.

With the right paint and good instructions, applying touch-up paint to your car can be as easy as coloring your nails.

Tips For Keeping Up With Automotive Recalls

You hear about automotive recalls all the time in the newspaper, on the Internet, as well as on the nightly news. Amazingly, one in 12 cars traveling the roads today were recalled for one reason or another in 2003. However, even more amazing is the fact that only one third of the owners of the recalled vehicles chose to take their car in for the needed repairs. The car manufacturers are required to send out letters informing owners of these vehicles of the recall, regardless of whether it is a major or minor event. Also, the information regarding the recall is delivered to consumers in so many different mediums it is almost impossible that owners of the affected vehicles do not learn of the problems. However, people seem to think that if they are not experiencing any problems at the moment then the recall affects all of the other vehicles instead of theirs and end up ignoring the recall. This is negligence and simply asking for the problem with the car to crop up. However, if this happens after the recall then it is the owners fault because they were given the information and allowed to fix the problem free of charge yet they simply ignored it. As long as car manufactures report the recall and inform owners of the vehicles as they are required to do by law, it is up to the consumer to take advantage of the recall and have their automobile fixed. If not, then the owner is taking the risk. If you have not heard anything about car recalls or just bought a used vehicle and want to find out if the manufacturer issued any recalls then you should check out www.nhtsa.gov or www.autorecalls.org to see if your car is listed.

Both of these websites have all the information about recalls over the past years so you can search through the year, make, and model of a vehicle to see if yours is listed. It is very likely you will see your car listed on one of these website because more than 31 million cars were recalled in 2004. That is almost unbelievable considering the amount of technology used in developing cars as well as the fact that cars are safer than they have ever been. However, it is true that mistakes are still taking places and consumers are buying vehicles with basic problems like fuses or major problems with gas lines, tires, and seats buckling in crashes. Regardless of whether or not you believe you are driving a safe car you need to check out the websites stated above every few months just to make sure your vehicle has not ended up on the list. If it has, don’t fall into the two thirds of individuals who never respond to the recall. Instead, head to the nearest dealership or authorized mechanic who can make the free repairs to your vehicle. Why so many people don’t have time for free repairs is beyond me, but knowing your vehicle has a problem that could be potentially fatal for you and your family and that a free repair is available should be enough to motivate you to have the repair taken care of.

Another thing to keep in mind is that simple problems with your vehicle that result in a visit to the mechanic may not be a problem you are required to pay for. Millions of Americans each year take their cars to the mechanic for a basic repair, or even a major one, assuming something went wrong and they simply need to fix it. Unfortunately, many of these individuals never check to see if the problem was due to a recall and end up paying for a repair that might be free or discounted by the automobile manufacturer. So, armed with this knowledge the next time your vehicle has even the slightest problem make sure you check and see if the car has been recalled for similar problems and if you can get free repairs or discounted ones at the least. It is certainly worth checking out and could save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Who Issues Recalls?

In general, the reason so many people don’t respond to recalls is because they simply don’t understand the recall process. The NHTSA , National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration, is responsible for investigating consumer complaints regarding specific vehicles and problems associated with them. After several consumers have reported the same or similar problem to the NHTSA for the same model vehicle an investigation is launched. The point of the NHTSA investigation is to determine whether the consumer caused the problem or malfunction in some way or if the manufacturer of the vehicle is at fault. If the manufacturer is determined to be at fault then the owners of affected models will receive information in the mail regarding the recall of the vehicle with information included on how they can have the problem corrected free of charge. However, the NHTSA is not always the one who issues a recall.

Occasionally, the manufacturer realizes a problem exists in a certain model vehicle and will voluntarily issue a recall. Of course, the NHTSA is informed as well, and the same letter is sent to owners of the vehicle letting them know the problem with the vehicle and how to correct it. Many times, however, a recall does not affect all models of a particular year. For example, if a recall is issued on 2005 Ford Explorers more than likely it will only affect a certain batch of these vehicles and not all of them. However, if you own a vehicle of that make and year then you can take it to the dealership and the service department will run the VIN, or vehicle identification number, to determine if in fact your vehicle is affected by the recall. If so, then you can have the repairs made at no cost. If not, then you can head home knowing your vehicle is safe and sound.

Just keep in mind, however, each year millions of cars are recalled for various reasons and you should always take your car in if you suspect the recall might apply to your vehicle or if you receive a recall letter. Don’t take your safety for granted, especially if the repair for the recalled vehicle is free.

Timing Belt Automotive Repair Tips

One of the most overlooked parts of a vehicle, and one of the most common automotive repairs is the timing belt. Your car’s timing belt may look like an accessory, but the fact is that if it fails, your car will suddenly stop, and, if you’re lucky, you will find yourself stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.

Timing belts are typically made of nylon reinforced rubber, with square teeth located on the inside surface. While you drive, the belt transfers the rotation of the crankshaft the camshaft, which in turn activates the valves that provide air and fuel to the cylinders and expel combustion gases to the exhaust system.

Inside your car, the valves and pistons move up and down rapidly, and most engines are not built to allow clearance between a valve that is down and a piston that is up and this is where the timing belt comes in, since it is what keeps the valves and pistons for colliding.

If your timing belt fails, and a collision occurs, the damage to the cylinder head, cylinder walls, valves, and pistons can be extensive, and expensive, as well.

During an automotive repair, the timing belt is often overlooked, since they are typically protected by a cover, and a quick visual inspection isn’t a possibility. Over the past several years, cars have been built to rely on a timing chain as opposed to a belt.

While these are typically longer lasting, they operate on essentially the same principal, and require replacement and maintenance, which varies by car. Typically, you can expect to have to replace your timing belt or chain every 60,000 to 90,000 miles.

Replacing a timing belt or chain requires the removal of the engine drive belt, the component responsible for operating the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and air conditioner.

When you visit your mechanic, be sure to ask them about how often the timing belt or chain on your car should be replaced. Your vehicle’s owners manual will also be able to provide guidelines as to timing belt replacement and maintenance.

Remember, the care you take of your car today ensures its continued health, and your safety while on the road. Automotive repair problems, if caught early, are less expensive and require less time to repair than those that are overlooked in the initial stages. Doing a good job with preliminary care and maintenance can really help your automobile to go along way.

The Social Cost of Automotive Fuels (LPG, Diesel, Petrol)

We aim to give some insight into the financial and economical cost to society as a direct result of exhaust emissions from Petrol, Diesel and LPG engines. The financial costs are calculated based on city population sizes in the UK, and grams of pollutants emitted per 1000km travelled by each automotive vehicle fuel type. These figures relate directly to the economical costs in terms of health care expenditure. The results show the benefits that alternative fuels can offer to society as a whole, helping to reduce health problems such as Congestive heart failure, Respiratory problems and Bronchitis, which all relate to poor air quality. The report is based on findings from various sources including The Norfolk County Council alternative fuel trials, and the BeTa database report on social costs published by Netcen (AEA).

Automotive fuels are constantly taking blame and criticism from the Government as the main cause of poor air quality conditions in the UK. The levels of harmful gases in the environment are costing society financially, economically and physically. Most people are aware of the damaging effects that exhaust emissions have on air quality conditions, but what do these emissions cost to society in monetary terms?

Our analysis showed that the social cost of driving a vehicle varies significantly with the fuel type used. In a small town, Diesel results in social costs of £3.84 per 1,000km, petrol £1.04 and LPG £0.55p. In a large city, Diesel costs £32.70 per 1,000km, petrol £6.08 and LPG £2.33.

The cost of running alternative vehicles such as LPG cars is dramatically less than standard petrol and diesel vehicles and does not require higher maintenance levels. Further benefits include reduced engine noise, smoother vehicle running, exempt from congestion charges and low duty taxes. Having more vehicles running on LPG engine in the UK would assist in reducing emission costs to society while improving air quality.

Individuals and organisations that adopt the environmentally-friendly alternative automotive fuels and technologies are not only generating cost savings for themselves but also for the larger society.

The Classic Automotive Product The Ford Model A Motor Auto

Creating a replacement for the phenomenally successful; Model T Ford will always be recognized as one of the toughest tasks in all the entire history of the automobile industry. Later successes in an established industry are always easier – the groundwork has been done. It is early on in the marketing cycle of a car , an industry or a sales territory is where the greatest efforts are usually required and the results success or failure are more dramatic. Mr. Henry Ford was confident and eccentric enough to want the Tin Lizzie to remain in production forever. Announced in 1908, the machine that put the world on wheels was destined to notch up just over 15 million sales before Mr. Ford accepted the fact a new model was vital and essential.

“Sixty-four today and the biggest job of my life is ahead” Ford exclaimed as work began on the Model A, which was given the designation as the first car ever produced by his company , back in 1903. Believe it or not Ford Model T production ended nearly six months before the first of the newcomers was delivered : the hiatus appearing all the more extraordinary when you appreciate was then a one model automotive car company. In terms of cars for sale; the immense River Rouge plant built nothing for the almost a half of 1928.

Although far more complex than its predecessor , the parts count was 40 % higher, and most of these automotive components were new - the Model A is a miracle of simplicity by today’s modern standards – mechanical and of course electronic. Today’s vintage classic car fans appreciate the fact the Model A was designed to be fixed by blacksmiths of what was then the outback wilds of North Dakota. Key features of the Model A vehicle included a traditional frame-type suspension, transverse leaf springs, front and rear hydraulic dampers, a conventional ignition system, a safety-glass windshield, and a brake for each wheel. Like the Tin Lizzie, the newcomer was offered with an assortment of two door and door bodies, from a roadster and phaeton to sedan and taxi. Prices started at $ 460 in 1928.

It has been said about driving a Ford Model T that the driver should forget almost everything that they know about and are familiar with driving. For a driver sitting at the wheel of a Model T it is as if he is a driving novice. The only thing rather conventional about the setup for driving a Model T is the steering wheel. Not so with a Ford Model A. Anyone who can handle a standard manual transmission with proficiency need have no qualms about driving the Model A. The 3.3 liter engine’s four cylinders provide strong torque at very low engine revs, so there is no need to work up on down the three speed transmission. When one does, the shift’s silent simplicity will make you wonder why a vintage Bentley’s “cogs” can be so difficult to master.

The Ford Model A can maintain a cruising speed of 50 miles and hour with top bursts to a maximum of 65 miles per hour. This is all the more amazing when one considers that the engine is a 40 horsepower 4 cylinder engine running at 2200 revolutions per minute (rpm).

The Model A was remarkable in that it set a new standard with high quality that provided a rugged , more than reliable and characterful motoring , in an economical fashion all in return for more than a sensible amount for purchase price of an automotive product of its time from the market leader of its day - The Ford Motor Company.

Naza Automotive: U.S. Market Possible?

Malaysia does not conjure up thoughts with car enthusiasts as being an automotive powerhouse. Indeed, many of the cars built in this burgeoning Southeast Asian nation are manufactured in cooperation with more known brands including Volkswagen and Kia. That may all be changing soon as Malaysia’s top auto manufacturers start building more models containing their own content. One manufacturer, Naza Automotive Manufacturing, is doing just that by releasing a pair of models this month that will be Malaysian designed and will utilize local materials. How could this move prove to be important to American motorists? Well, just as several Chinese manufacturers have designs on bringing cheaply priced cars to the U.S., Malaysian automakers may soon follow. Likely, you have never heard of Naza, but keep an eye on the world auto scene as Naza and at least one other Malaysian automaker, Proton, rush to develop cars explicitly designed for the lucrative U.S. market.

Naza, is not likely to be a name easily forgotten, but for two different reasons: the first, is the automaker’s similarity to “Nazi” and the second, because the company will soon be building its own cars for the expanding Malaysian market. Previously, Kia cars were the company’s chief product built, with a Peugeot model also planned for release. Now, according to corporate sources, the company will be building two of its own models, a 1.1L powered car called the NX01 and a slightly larger model, the NX02.

Despite the similarity to the notorious word Nazi, the company is also known as NAM and could use that latter name for export once capacity has been met for the home market. NAM officials, along with its chief national competitor, Proton, will certainly be studying the coming release of Chinese cars to the American market. If Chinese cars are successful abroad, look for NAM and Proton models built at newly created Malaysian manufacturing plants to be exported as well. This move could put additional price pressure on the U.S. market as another source of cheaply priced cars enters our market. At the same time, Malaysia could use the financial boost of exporting a potentially lucrative product overseas.

Yes, the American automotive market is changing as is Malaysia’s auto industry. Perhaps, Ford or GM will work with Naza and help bring in certain models to fill out their own lines. More than likely this won’t happen and Naza will go it alone. Regardless, American consumers are likely to benefit in the form of more choices and with low new car prices at least in the entry level segment.

Keep Your Automotive Tools Handy

Now that you have your own car, it is important that you do have the right automotive tools in handy. This is because you would never know when your car might act up and you would need to do some adjustments or repairs yourself. You should have a set of the basic and the most used automotive tools for car owners. These automotive tools should be kept handy either in a car repair kit or box inside your car or even in your car’s trunk.

One of the first things that you should purchase for your car’s tool kit would be an adjustable wrench. This tool has the ability to actually automatically adjust to the size of the nut and could loosen or tighten everything. You should shell out around $10 to $40 for this one.

You should include a continuity tester. It is an electrical test equipment. You can use this to check if there is an electrical path that can be made between two points. This is good for testing electrical parts in your car. This should cost you around $3 to $40.

For around $1.50 each, you should get a couple of funnels. This should help you out greatly in adding fluids and oils in your car. Make sure that you clean them after using them and also make sure that you use only one funnel for each fluid. For example, you should only use one funnel for adding brake fluid. Never use this funnel to add oil or washer fluid.

Do not forget to put in a car jack. You should spend around $9 for this one. You should use this in case you need to change your tires. This is one of the indispensable items that you should not forget to include in your automotive tool kit.
